Envisage WG1

The work of the WG1 working group started today!

We talked about 1/ National laws and organisational policies for academic cooperation, 2/ Experiences in programme-level cooperation and 3/ Faculty development in each country of the partnership members.

It promises to be a very interesting cooperation in the field of education as well as a challenging one for us due to the existing differences in the education systems in each country.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE – CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Budapest Business University online conference 20 YEARS OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE IN THE EUROPEAN UNION INTERNATIONAL hosted by Central European Regional Research Group of BBU’s Faculty of International Management and Business, the Department of Finance of BBU’s Faculty of Finance and Accountancy, and BBU’s Institute of Foreign Languages and Communication.

The purpose of the Conference is to create opportunities for scholars and researchers from all over the world, and mainly from the Visegrad Group countries, to share their research and perspectives on current developments and challenges in diverse fields of multi- and interdisciplinary science, as well as in diplomatic and business practice. The event aims to become a forum for scientific discussion as well as a platform for sharing recent research. The fact that 8 Central and Eastern European countries joined the European Union 20 years ago, on May 1, 2004, gives the conference a special topicality, in addition, Hungary became member of NATO 25 years ago.

It is possible to deliver a presentation at the conference in English, German and French language.

VII. BBU International Sustainability Student Conference – Call for abstracts

The VII. BBU International Sustainability Student Conferenceaims to bring together those students and fellow researchers interested in sustainability who would like to present new research, exchange information, and discuss the current issues.

As a responsible University and Champion of PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) and also member of the European School of Sustainability Science and Research (ESSSR network) Budapest Business University’s Centre of Excellence for Sustainability Impacts in Business and Society (CESIBUS) cordially invite all bachelor, master, and PhD students to conduct an independent research in the following topics:

 •    Sustainability at SMEs;

•    Quality Education;

•    Gender Equality;

•    Sustainable and Responsible Hospitality and Tourism;

•    Sustainable Cities and Communities;

•    Responsible Consumption and Production;

•    Climate Action.

Call for participation in WE on-line round table

WE Days (Women Entrepreneur Days) is a group of organisations involved in awareness-raising and communication activities. It is a French national trusted label that promotes women’s entrepreneurship, gender diversity and inclusion. The objectives of this initiative are to put the spotlight on all the players promoting women’s entrepreneurship by organising as many events as possible throughout the Grand Est region, from 22 May to 22 June 2024.

ICN Business School, one of the ENVISAGE consortium Partner, offers to coordinate an on-line round table in English on topical international research questions on women entrepreneurship with, as key speakers,  researchers from ENVISAGE alliance schools.

Regular ENVISAGE consortium meeting

Last Thursday, March 21st, another online meeting of the ENVISAGE consortium took place, during which the action steps for 2024 were discussed, as well as preparation for the second meeting, following Budapest in 2023, scheduled for June in Krakow.

 

BBU&KUE meeting in 2024 in Kraków

The next bilateral meeting in Krakow between representatives of BBU and KUE was an opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation as well as within the ENVISAGE consortium

On March 11th, representatives of Budapest Business University were hosted by the Cracow University of Economics. The purpose of the meeting was to foster community integration, deepen bilateral scientific cooperation, discuss further activities within the ENVISAGE consortium, and explore additional joint initiatives and projects.

It also provided an opportunity to showcase KUE’s teaching infrastructure to first-time visitors.

Rectors’ Meeting – signing of the MoU: 31 May – 1 June 2023 in Budapest

We have signed a long-term cooperation Memorandum of Understanding with the European universities – KUE – Krakow University of Economics (PL), BBS – Budapest Business School (HU), HSW – Hochschule Wismar – University of Applied Sciences (DE), ICN – ICN Business School in Nancy (FR), UPT – Portucalense University Infante D. Henrique (PT), EUAS – Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences (EE) – belonging to the ENVISAGE – European University Network for ENVisioning Sustainable AGilE transition network. The strategic alliance recently jointly applied for a grant of nearly 6 million Euros within the framework of the ERASMUS+ European University Networks programme for the joint development of education, research, innovation and services to society.

At the International Rectors’ Meeting, in addition to the ceremonial signing, the details of the co-operation were negotiated. In addition, participants had the opportunity to listen to expert presentations from the Hungarian members of three other European University Alliances about the experiences of their ongoing projects.
